THE INTERNATIONAL CHOIR “ALLEGRI”, despite its new name, is in essence the continuation of the choir “Allegri” from 2012, has contributed to the musical and cultural events of the city of Kalamata since 2012 and has 26 members.
The choir was constituted a cultural association with the above name in November 2020. It has since welcomed new members and continues to be an international choir. Its members come from many different European countries such as: England, Ukraine, Holland, Moldavia, Russia, Germany, Serbia, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, Estonia and of course Greece. .
The choir members’ excellent cooperation, their love of choral music and the sharing of different cultural backgrounds have enriched the choir and therefore resulted in work of a high standard.
The choir’s musical programme has a diverse repertoire which includes a wide variety of Greek songs and works from around the world ranging from traditional and modern songs, to classical music and religious works as well as world and Greek hits.

-The Catholic Christmas and Easter masses in Kalamata at the church of Saints Nicholas and Athanasios.
-The events of the cultural association for the arts and nature NARTURA, which is based in Stoupa Messenia.

-The Christmas Choir Performance at the Municipal Cultural Centre of Kalamata, 14th December, 2015, organised by the association “Friends of Music”, Armonia, in Kalamata.
-The Second Spring Choir Festival in Thessaloniki, on 4th June, 2016.
-The Christmas Concert with the mixed choir at the catholic church of St. Andreas in Patra in December, 2016.
-The national festival “Elegeia” in Chalidiki in May, 2017.
-The 2nd National Interkultur Choir Festival in October, 2017 where our choir received an award.
-The celebrations for the 60 years of “Orpheas” the Music association of Kalamata at the Municipal Cultural Centre of Kalamata on 12th December, 2017.
-The celebrations for the Year of Nikos Kazantzakis, at the cultural centre Nikos Kazantzakis in Stoupa Messenia, which was organized by the cultural association for the arts and nature NARTURA, on the 11th March, 2018.(Newspaper article)
-The event hosted for the “Year of the Holy Bible” at the Municipal Cultural Centre of Kalamata, in April, 2018.
-The concert at the Koroni festival at Hotel Zaga Milos, in June 2018.
-The 10th National Religious Choir Festival in Tripoli, 13-15 April 2019.
-The Beaufort Festival in Stoupa Messenia in June, 2019.
-The event organized by NARTURA “the cultural association for the arts and nature”. The theme of the event was the representation of the Virgin Mary in western and eastern art which was held at the holy church of the Taxiarches in Kalamata on 14th December, 2019.
-The celebration for the 20 years of the Messenian Writers Guild held at the hotel Elysian on the western shore front of Kalamata, in October, 2020.
-A book presentation for one of its choir members, a writer, in Koroni Messenia in June 2019.
-Participation in the charity concert for “The Arc of the World” in the Municipal Cultural Centre of Kalamata in June 2021.
-Participation in the 4th intl choir competition and festival Interkultur - Kalamata, from 23-26 September, 2022 where our choir received a silver diploma in the folklore category (Newspaper article).

The choir has organized:
-Vocal seminars with Elena Berezovskaya,
vocal teacher at the Philarmonic at the town
of Yaroslavl, Russia from 2017 to 2018.
-A vocal seminar with Maria-Emma Meligopoulou,
professor of music science and art at the University
of Macedonia, in January 2019.

We wish to continue to serve choral music by cooperating with other musicians and ensembles and enriching our repertoire. We persevere with added incentive and always have in mind our supportive members both old and new.
Our maestro Mrs Aggeliki Lazarou, continues to guide us on our beautiful musical journeys encouraging and supporting us with patience and perseverance.
